IC PERMISSIONS

Physical Violence: Feel free, getting beaten up is basically all Matt's good for.

Mental Information: Please give me a heads up if reading Matt so we can talk it out & I can tailor tags accordingly. He's a Marvel protag, so his brain is Messed Up (tm), Complicated (tm), and Full of Anger (tm). Even if he's outwardly calm doesn't mean his mental state matches.

Physical Affection: Feel free! He is pretty tolerant.

IC Triggers: Harming innocents (especially kids), injustice, bla bla bla. If you gloat about hurting/killing innocent people he's gonna go loco, he's a Marvel protag.

Relationships: If you want to ship with him, it'll be a trainwreck, but I'm up for anything that develops ICly. He does do a lot of casual sex and one night stands if anything's up for that. I love developing close relationships, romantic or platonic, just bear in mind that he's a secretive moron with 8948934893 intimacy issues who sabotages his own relationships, unintentionally and intentionally at times. This is something I definitely want to work on ICly but just a disclaimer that he's flaming trash.

POWER-SPECIFIC AND/OR SPOILER PERMISSIONS

• So, due to his extremely implausible Marvel backstory, Matt is a dirty infomodder. He may be blind, but due to having chemicals splashed in his face as a kid, his other senses are ~enhanced. Not only does he have extra good hearing, smell, etc, but he can also pick up on things like what someone had for lunch the previous day, the last time they took a shower, smelling cologne through walls, being able to tell if someone is genuinely unconscious, all sorts of things. In other words: it's ridiculous.

• Secondly, Matt functions as living lie detector. By listening to a person's heartbeat, he can tell whether they're lying or telling the truth. He can only do this if he concentrates, and obviously if a person's heartrate doesn't change while speaking, he won't pick up on it.

• Regardless, please let me know if it's okay or not for Matt to catch your character lying if it comes up! Chances are, even if he notices, he won't comment on it. Any opt in or opts outs in this post are A-OK.

• If you'd prefer certain topics/observations to be off limits or for Matt to just not use his Mary Sue Daredeviling on your character, please let me know here or by PM!

• Likewise: if you want to opt in to Matt using his bullshit senses, feel free to comment to this post with a little blurb about what kind of things he might notice/you want him to pick up on (how they talk, how they smell, their posture, etc. You can go as detailed as you want!)

Opting in for super sense bullshit!

While Rinzler visually looks human (beneath the helmet and armor he... never takes off), he's actually a physical incarnation of the code for a computer program, and will register as Very Weird. No heartbeat, blood flow, biology, or normal matter to speak of. He does emit a constant ticking rumble-- think giant cat crossed with broken hard drive-- and there will be a slight ozone smell from the air nearby if he's damaged. Unless he's burning power fast, he'll be room-temperature, with a posture tending toward indrawn and hunched.

Except in a fight, when he becomes a flippy ninja with laser frisbees. \o/

Also his species is color-coded by alignment. And Rinzler, being (mostly) mute, "talks" via holographic text from his MID. So BULLSHIT AWAY, MATT; you're communicating on hard mode. 8|b

Tex is an AI in a robot in her canon but I've humanized her for purposes of the game, so she's just as readable as any other person in that form—heartbeat and respiration and such. She has no idea how to manipulate her own heartbeat or any special powers like that, so she would be an open book to Matt.

The previous Matt was Tex's sole roommate for a number of months and she's point-blank asked that version of Matt why he seemed to have some kind of special perception, but she thought it was because he was an AI, like her. All he did was assure her he's fully human and definitely blind.

Matt can totally find out things about Noah with his super senses, although his lie detecting is prob off the table because... Noah doesn't have a heartbeat! He's super dead. (:

He doesn't eat or shower, though he does apparently still smell like the soap & deodorant he used when he was alive. Probably a very typical teen boy scent. He is cold to the touch and often makes the air around him colder when he manifests. His solidity is... variable. Sometimes he has no physical presence at all. I'll try to be really clear about his physical state & anything else Matt might pick up on in bracket text!

Totally open to super senses picking up stuff and knowing when Stephen is lying. Don't think he would know about Matt prior to meeting him but he might start picking up on things himself the more time he's around Matt.

Don't think he won't notice things, sir. Storing away "useless" info is his Thing.

Matt is welcome to notice if 76 is lying if that comes up for whatever reason, and for sense stuff! His voice is rough/deep, like he's gargled glass shards all his life, and he smells like leather and sweat, primarily. He's almost always tensed up and at attention... idk, ask me if you wanna know more!

Totally on board for all sense shenanigans. Majima smokes semi-regularly so for Matt he'll unfortunately almost always smell like an ashtray.

Majima is a pretty good liar, but I'm also willing to work with the lie detector stuff on a case by case basis!

As my character doesn't have a heartbeat, it'll be hard for him to use that as a means to detect... but have fun with that Sipperoo. Though he doesn't really lie all that often anyway. I can def put things in brackets to help you.

He'll also smell really good apparently ig... sorry Twilight is a hot mess.
